‘Looksmaxxing’ Streamer Clavicular Pleads Not Guilty to Rape Charge
Braden Peters, 20, denies the allegations stemming from a 2025 incident in Massachusetts and says the encounter was consensual. His lawyers have moved to dismiss the case.
Braden Peters, the 20-year-old streamer known online as Clavicular, has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges including rape.
Peters was charged in September with felony rape, drugging an individual for sexual intercourse, and procuring alcohol for someone under the age of 21, the BBC reported. The charges stem from an alleged 2025 incident involving a 17-year-old girl at his family’s home in Chatham, Massachusetts.
Peters has denied the allegations and said the encounter was consensual. Like every defendant, he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
According to CBS News, the BBC’s U.S. partner, the woman told police that on May 23, 2025, Peters ordered her an Uber to the house, where they were drinking alcohol while filming a livestream. The officer who took the report said he believed she was unable to consent because of her age and the level of intoxication shown in the livestream. Those are allegations; none has been proven in court.
Peters’s legal team filed a motion to dismiss the charges, arguing there is “insufficient evidence” to support them.
At Thursday’s hearing, Peters was granted $10,000 bail. He was ordered not to contact or post about his accuser and to surrender his passport. After the hearing, he posted a photo of himself in the black suit and tie he wore to court, holding the dog he brought with him.
His next hearing is set for Nov. 24, when a judge will decide whether there is enough evidence for the case to move forward.
Peters has more than a million followers on TikTok and Instagram, where he promotes “looksmaxxing.” Earlier this year he pleaded no contest in Florida to unlawfully discharging a firearm in public. He was arrested in March on suspicion of battery after authorities suspected him of instigating a fight between two women; authorities said in July they did not intend to file charges. In June he walked a runway at Paris Fashion Week.
